Getting ready for a new year

Sorry for not having written for a while ~ life has gotten in the way of a lot of what I've been wanting to do.  As many of you may know, I have a six year-old daughter and this year, it has been a real challenge to keep her busy while giving myself the time to create.  My own schedule - getting up before the crack of dawn - made it difficult for me to stay up past 7 p.m. most nights.  I'm hoping that with school starting soon and my schedule changing to a more normal, human schedule (my office hours are now 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.), I hope to be able to enjoy some me time!  As well, my work schedule took off: I went from having staff and to being underworked to no staff and to there always being something to work on ~ sometimes so much I don't know where to start!

I'm looking forward to a new school year starting in a couple of weeks - actually, the daughter starts back to school the day after Labour Day.  Since my own school days, I've always thought of the first day of school as being akin to New Year's Day.  I also use Labour Day to set new goals for myself, for our household (especially seeing as we will be celebrating the second anniversary of our housie being delivered) and for work, too, although this year, my old boss had me set my yearly goals back in early January!

Given that I want to develop my own line of invitations and stationery, along with undertaking another new venture - maybe - that compliments the stationery, I will be working over the next few days and weeks to set my new goals and creating my "Lunenburg Press" business plan.  One of my goals this year is to blog more about my business, my work and my daily adventures.  Stay tuned!
